Projects

Face Mask Detection

An application that detects if a subject is wearing a face mask or not.

>
Winter 2022

Developed a system where it will detect a user in real time and determine if they are wearing a mask or not. I have utilized the CNN architecture for image recognition, object detection and segmentation but I have tweaked it a little bit to be more accurate than the traditional CNN architecture with the help of MobileNetV2.

Instant Messaging App

A platform for real-time communication with friends and family.

>
Sep 2021 - Apr 2022

Developed a cross-platform messaging app using React Native, AWS Amplify, and DynamoDB. Used GraphQL for real-time messaging and Amazon Cognito for secure user authentication. Built features like one-on-one messaging, group chats, and image attachments, while optimizing performance with Amazon S3 for file storage. Architected the backend for scalability with AWS Amplify and created a responsive UI for both iOS and Android. Tested the app iteratively with friends to gather feedback and improve the user experience.

Elevator Control System

A simulator for an elevator system using Java and a custom event-driven architecture.

>
Fall 2021

Developed backend functionality for an elevator control system using Java, implementing scheduling algorithms and multi-elevator coordination. Created a Java Swing GUI for users to interact with the system, select floors, and view elevator statuses. Optimized routing to minimize wait times and tested the system for real-world scenarios, ensuring reliable performance in various situations
